Stocking/Planting
McAlpine Lake and Park is regularly stocked with Trout. These Trout are a larger, more aggressive breed of Trout and they make your fishing experince more enjoyable. As they make their journey to our lake, they are transported in a specially designed truck. This truck carefully and safely carries the Trout so they are not injured. Upon arrival, a very large transfer pipe is then attached to the truck so the Trout can be planted into the Lake. The
Trout travel through the pipe, with the water from the truck, and splash into McAlpine Lake.
